March : Of Better Hopes and
Bigger Dreams
Ironically, the month of March is always the most hectic - at least for most students and parents. It is the month with the most deadlines, exams, events, bazaars, and it is also usually the month of goodbyes for loved ones going abroad for the summer, for those who have just recently graduated, for those who go back to their provinces or hometowns. It truly is one of the more eventful months of the year.
Although it passes by really fast, March still remains alive in the eyes of people because it symbolizes the light at the end of the tunnel - the closing of another chapter, the break that was well-deserved, the promises of another summer, the escape much needed by most. The promise of freedom and serenity at the end and the rewards of goals achieved that makes each and every hurdle worth the effort.
My friend, Nathalia Carmina Tolentino, is someone who reminds me of that light at the end of the tunnel. She has always been one of the stronger women that I have ever come to know in my life - despite the struggles that she is faced with, the disappointments that inevitably come her way, and even during times when things don't always go according to her plan, I have never seen this girl back down from pursuing her dreams or stop her from believing the best in herself. She is the kind of person whom you'd always long to be around because her calming presence makes you feel so secure and sure that no matter what happens, things will always fall into place; and if they don't, then it isn't the end just yet. :) And for this, Nath is my face of March. Her light is something that the world is in desperate need of - the light of hope. :)
